NEET 2022 Exam: Application, Admit Card, Syllabus, Important Dates, Eligibility Criteria & Preparation Tips

The NEET, or National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test. , is a medical entrance test conducted across India once a year. NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). To pursue any medical course in India, a medical aspirant needs to clear the NEET successfully. Once you qualify for this exam, you can get a seat in a medical programme such as MBBS, BDS, and several AYUSH courses in government and private institutes.

NEET came up as a response to the need of unifying the medical entrance testing policies of India. A centralized testing system ensures that the difficulty level of the exam is kept in check and that its curriculum is inclusive of all state boards. It has replaced the former medical entrance tests that used to take place in India – the AIIMS and JIPMER tests.

The NTA is instrumental in conducting NEET smoothly and fairly. It is responsible for everything related to NEET, right from announcing dates to issuing admit cards and assessing the answer sheets. The exam questions are in a multiple-choice format, and the test is conducted in offline mode.

If you are preparing for NEET, it is good to keep a close watch on the official NEET website for the latest notifications and updates related to the exam.
